Deadheading Cars
Despite your best planning, sometimes one yard becomes clogged with too many empties, while another yard is sending out short trains because it has too few empties. To correct that situation you merely tell the computer how many cars (and what type) you want moved to another yard, and then your normal operations gradually filter those cars where they are needed.
