Sonora Software was founded in Atlanta, GA in 1981 because a contractor needed computer software that made sense for his contracting business. He bought an IBM personal computer ("state of the art" hardware that year, you may recall ) and began learning to write programs for it.

That contractor is Bill Heffner, owner of Sonora Software company.

With twenty years of experience in contracting and business management and another twenty years experience in design and creation of computer software, Sonora Software is well qualified to understand the computer needs of small businesses.

Since 1999 we have applied that expertise to the development of interactive, database-driven websites for many of the same kinds of client, promoting "tele-commuting" in San Diego with sites that that serve the client's purpose precisely and require little or no training or computer expertise.
